Film Festival Poster

How can type be manipulated to be artistic and expressive, even illustrative? Type is an incredibly important, but often subtle element of graphic design. This project is proof that the mood of any design is highly influenced by the typefaces being utilized. This poster is based on a fictional film festival inspired by one of my favorite movies, Dazed and Confused. The design feels like summertime in the 70s and captures that nostalgic feeling of the last day of school. My choice of color and typeface achieve these emotions.
