Magazine Layout Design

Plastic. We know it's bad for our planet, but it looks like it's also bad for our diets. The article featured in my design is about the dangers of plastic, especially when it comes in contact with our food. Plastic is a material we touch and use every day, so I decided to push the tactile nature of this design. I took inspiration from less formal, collage-like layouts that embrace the materiality of paper and ink. I played with scale by including plastic utensils and varying sizes of paper scraps. I broke the grid by tilting some of my text to fit within paper scraps and to push the collage aesthetic.
